School Closing Update: January 31, 2021

Dear Parents,

I hope that this email finds you all safe and healthy. I’m sure you have been hearing the news about more and more cases of Covid-19 being found in Hanoi. We have just been informed by the Department of Education in Vietnam that the school must close to students from February 1st until February 8th due to the risk posed by the ongoing outbreak.

Starting on Monday, February 1st, students will be conducting online classes using Zoom from their respective homes. To speak with your student’s International class teacher, PLEASE GO ONTO CLASS DOJO, where your student’s teacher will be updating you on the plan for the upcoming week, and providing login information for the Zoom classes. FOR BILINGUAL STUDENTS, please check your emails on Monday morning for the Zoom login information for the afternoon Bilingual classes.

International Elementary and Kindergarten classes will start at 9am, with the schedule as follows:

*9-9:45 International Class opening/First teaching

*11-11:45 International Class Second teaching

*12-1 LUNCH BREAK (International and Bilingual Classes Split)

*1-1:45 International Class Third Teaching

*2:30-3:15 International Class Fourth Teaching

***International Teachers available until 4pm for one-on-one lessons***

Bilingual Elementary classes start at 9am, with the schedule as follows:

*9-9:45 International Class opening/First teaching

*11-11:45 International Class Second teaching

*12-1 LUNCH BREAK (International and Bilingual Classes Split)

*1-3:30 Bilingual Class Teaching

Online classes will be conducted from Monday, February 1st until Friday, February 5th. The school (including online classes) will then be suspended from Monday, February 8th through Tuesday, February 16th for the Tet Holiday. For now, the plan is to have students come back to the school on Wednesday, February 17th. If that changes in the coming weeks, both myself and your teachers on class dojo will inform you immediately.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s online classes this week, please log onto Class Dojo where you can chat with your child’s teacher about the details.

Respectfully,

Jordan Nelson, Operations Manager
